October’s TOTM = TRICK OR TREAT COOKIE CUPS!! // A cross between a cookie and a cake, stuffed with a mini candy bar, marshmallow frosting, chocolate drizzle, and lastly, topped with crushed chocolate candy bar. 1) spiced cookie cake with Butterfinger. 2) chocolate chip cookie cake with Twix. 3) peanut butter chocolate chip cookie cake with dark chocolate Reese’s peanut butter cup. 

These will make you want to dance around the room while eating!! #truestory thanks @lobese for the pics!

And for dessert…panna cottas! Vanilla and nutella! Two fruit toppings - usual strawberry and raspberry purées. Didn’t want ingredients to go to waste so I used it all up. Now I’ve gotta give them away tomorrow. πŸ˜‰

Tonight’s dinner: grilled Alaskan cod on top of warm farro and assorted veggie salad. Steamed green beans, lightly topped with crushed red peppers and bacon salt. #lifeiswonderful

Stuffed bell pepper with turkey meatballs, turkey, pineapple sausage, sweet potato, spinach, and bell pepper. On a bed of quinoa and everything above.

Saturday lunch: roasted pumpkin ravioli in an impromptu tomato cream sauce with fresh tomatoes, pineapple sausage, turkey, crushed garlic, crushed red peppers, honey, and sage to top it off. Added grated parm for the cheese factor. // I love how ingredients come together especially when you have no idea wtf you’re doing! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜³πŸ˜³

Cook dinner and eat together with your family. Eating out is convenient and easy, but you can’t ever replace those moments you spend in your own kitchen. I treasure those moments more so than the times we dined out. If I ever have kids, no matter how tired I am, I vow to make as many meals with/for them as possible. With that said, here’s dinner tonight: grilled mahi mahi, roasted bok choy, and quinoa with assorted veggies. Squeeze a little lemon and you’re good to go!

Here’s a closer pic of the dessert table. Thank goodness I bought extra tiers and platters a few weeks ago!! And I made enough verrines for this table so I don’t have any left overs. Womp womp. The bees were loving the mango mousse which was so annoying!

16+ hours in the kitchen. Two disasters, one of which happened two hours before we had to make the delivery. Finally completed my second wedding dessert table for the year! Made about 300 verrines, dozens of cookies and cupcakes, and a 6in cutting cake. It’s a lot of work, but so worth it in the end. My feet are swollen, had a piece of skin on my thumb got cut off by a piping tip, and my kitchen was like sauna the entire time. Got up at 4am so I’m ready for a nap!! (at Saratoga Springs Picnics & Teambuilding)
